Some More on the Albany – Schenectady Match

I am returning to coverage of the Albany – Schenectady match today. This was a thirteen board affair, and even on board 8 there were strong players for both sides. There Elihue Hill, the long time leader of the Uncle Sam Chess Club of Troy, represented Schenectady. Mr. Hill and some others of the Uncle Sam club are participating in this year’s Schenectady Championship I am told, so this was not a case of recruiting of “ringers”.
